Show up with confidence, demonstrate credibility, and articulate unique value.

Research by the Centre for Talent Innovation suggests that one of the many reasons women remain woefully underrepresented at the highest levels of leadership is because they “lack executive presence” or are “just not seen as leaders.” CTI research also finds that feedback around executive presence can be both confusing and contradictory, making it almost impossible to act on.

Executive Presence for Women helps women leaders and high-potential individual contributors demonstrate the confidence that matches their expertise and intellect. They will learn how to master the subtleties of voice, body, and message congruence, and craft and deliver a polished, compelling personal brand statement of the unique value they bring to your organisation, team or project.

Topic Description

Great women leaders bring more to the table than technical skills and intellect, or inner charisma and charm. They’re relationship builders who have learned to harness their Executive Presence—the ability to connect authentically with the hearts and minds of others in order to motivate and inspire them to achieve a desired outcome.

This workshop is specifically designed for women leaders in organisations who want to get their voices heard, show up with confidence and credibility, claim their value and inspire others.

Course Description

Day One

Day One builds the skills and behaviors required to be a successful woman leader and communicator, emphasising peer feedback, listening and coaching.

  • Introduction to Leadership Presence Skills with the PRES Model: Present, Reaching Out, Expressive, Self-Knowing
  • Expanding Communication Style through Expressiveness: Participants learn how to achieve greater impact by exploring a wider and more adept use of emotion, vocal and physical flexibility, spontaneity, passion, energy and empathy.
  • Connecting and Communicating Authentically: Participants reflect on and present defining personal and professional milestones, practicing delivery, honing listening skills, and providing honest and helpful feedback to others

Day Two

Day Two focuses on applying the skills learned on day one to specific workplace situations.

  • Leveraging Storytelling for Business Communication: Participants develop and incorporate personal stories into business communications to present and connect in a more compelling way, practicing different scenarios that require physical and vocal variety to get key messages across.
  • Applying Leadership Presence at Work: Participants identify the applicability of different stories to client, colleague and other leadership communications and practice skills in oneon-one, group, facilitative and presentation contexts.
